Put simply, Microemulsions make it easier for your body to metabolize ingested substances. Oil-in-water microemulsion is expected to increase the solubility by dissolving compounds with low water solubility into an oil phase. They can also enhance oral bioavailability by reducing the droplet size (< 100 nm), and hence increase the rate of absorption due to surfactant-induced permeability changes.

Effective serving sizes will vary from person to person. It is important to stick to the guidelines outlined by Onyx + Rose. CBD has no known severe side effects, but mild side effects could include nausea, vomiting, drowsiness, dry mouth, and diarrhea. If you experience any side effects, we advise decreasing the amount of CBD you’re taking in a single serving. If you experience ongoing side effects, please discontinue use and consult your physician.

CBD oil products should always be stored properly to help maintain their freshness and improve their shelf life. An opened CBD oil product will typically maintain its effectiveness for about 6 months. To store your Onyx + Rose CBD oil properly, we advise storing them in a dark cool place.

Cannabinoids like CBD, CBG, CBN, and CBC are fat-soluble, meaning they break down and are stored in fat rather than water. Therefore cannabinoids are most effective when consumed with fat because it increases the rate of absorption. Onyx + Rose selected MCT (medium-chain triglycerides) oil. With MCT oil having higher fat content than other oils, it gives the cannabinoids the traction they need to move through the body and interact with the endocannabinoid system faster.

For people seeking a more balanced lifestyle, relief from mild anxiety and sleep issues, or a way to aid post-workout, inflammation-induced discomfort, start with 25-50 mg a day. For those who are suffering from severe ailments such as arthritic pain, anxiety or panic attacks, or incredible discomfort from rigorous workout regimens, try starting with 50-100 mg a day. Since consistency is key when it comes to harnessing the power of phytocannabinoids, you should take the same amount of CBD daily at the same time each day to achieve your desired results.

Full Bloom is a full spectrum CBD product, while Pure Bloom is a broad spectrum CBD product. In addition to CBD, CBG, CBN, CBC, terpenes, flavonoids and fatty-acids, Full Bloom also contains a naturally occurring trace amount of THC. The ratio of cannabinoids to terpenes is the exact same as hemp in its natural form. You’ll get the maximum benefits of the “entourage effect,” a phenomenon that occurs when cannabinoids and terpenes work together to provide optimal therapeutic benefits.

Pure Bloom starts as a full spectrum product but is then processed with an extra step using a unique chromatography process to isolate and remove the THC. This slightly decreases the levels of other minor cannabinoids like CBG, CBN, and CBC, but leaves CBD molecules completely intact. Pure Bloom is the perfect choice if you want to reap the benefits of the entourage effect that are associated with Full Bloom, but would like to avoid having THC in your system. No matter which product you decide is best for you, there’s a whole world of benefits you can reap from incorporating Onyx + Rose CBD products into your wellness routine.

This is a great question and the answer begins in our hemp itself. Our unique plant genetics naturally contain 15-18% CBD and < 0.3% THC. Once our hemp has been harvested, we employ a proprietary extraction and purification process which removes all the unwanted materials that are non-medicinal in nature. This includes waxes, chlorophyll, and pigments. It also allows us to completely and safely remove the < 0.3% THC. Because our process is so selective, the result is a very enriched, 70-85% CBD that is virtually free of solvents and heavy metals. What’s left is a chemical compound that is ideal for anyone who wants the therapeutic benefits of CBD, CBG, CBN, and CBC without the psychoactive effects of THC (for zero THC products).

Hemp is a super plant that produces many different compounds. These compounds can be found in other plant species, but more than sixty of them are specific to the cannabis plant. Scientists call these special compounds “cannabinoids.” Cannabinoids found in hemp are derived from the aerial parts of the plant. A particular cannabinoid called cannabidiol (CBD) appears to offer many medicinal and therapeutic benefits and is poised to change medicine as we know it today.

Both are made from the same plant, but hemp oil is cold-pressed from hemp seeds. It contains very little CBD, but it’s a great source of antioxidants and omega 3 and 6 fatty acids. CBD oil or hemp extract oil is made from the entire hemp plant including the seeds, leaves, and stem and contains rich amounts of CBD and other beneficial cannabinoids.

CBD is non-addictive and generally safe for everyday use.

Onyx + Rose zero THC CBD products (Pure Bloom, Bliss Balm, Bright Side Capsules) will not trigger a positive result on a drug test. Onyx + Rose THC inclusive products (Full Bloom) contain less than .3% THC and may appear on a drug test. Regardless, Onyx + Rose suggests consulting with your physician prior to taking any hemp-related products.

Like any oil, light and humidity can cause rancidity or spoilage. Onyx + Rose CBD Oil should be stored as recommended and used within its suggested expiration date of 18 months from the manufacture date.

Depending on the cause of your acne, CBD skincare may be able to help! If you’re oily and your breakouts stem from excess oil production/clogged pores, the CBD may be able to interact with your CB1 + CB2 receptors to regulate oil production. On the other hand, if you have skin that’s dry and/or inflamed, the CBD in these products could help hydrate the skin + lock in moisture to keep your skin healthy and prevent further inflammation and dryness
